The Washington State Hospice & Palliative Care Organization offers 3 categories of membership:
PROVIDER | ASSOCIATE | INDIVIDUAL |
PROVIDER MEMBERS are any public or private agency, entity, center, institution or any distinct part of these organizations which is licensed by the state of Washington as a hospice agency or volunteer hospice and provides hospice care; OR any public or private agency, entity, center, or institution which is providing palliative care services, is recognized as a distinct palliative care program and is licensed by appropriate state oversight, if required. Provider members have voting responsibilities and privileges.
Provider Member benefits extend to all members of the hospice/palliative care program and include:
- Representation at state regulatory discussions with the Department of Health (DOH), Health Care Authority (HCA), and Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), led by Leslie Emerick
- Direct access to resources for regulatory, quality, or operational questions via email or phone
- Monthly or bimonthly networking calls for Professional Provider members
- Listing on WSHPCO’s "Find Care" directory
- Access to webinars and on-site training programs, including Hospice Fundamentals and Hospice & Home Care Webinar Network
- Discounted registration rates at Washington State Hospice & Palliative Care Organization and Oregon Hospice & Palliative Care Association conferences and events
- Subscription to bi-weekly eNews
- Inclusion on mailing list for educational opportunities, fundraising events, etc.
- Voting rights and responsibilities within Washington State Hospice & Palliative Care Organization
Dues Calculations, assessed annually in January:
- Hospice & Hospice + Palliative Care programs with 53+ annual admissions: $500 + $5.50 per patient admissions in previous calendar year
- Hospice & Hospice + Palliative Care programs with up to 52 annual admissions: $500
- Volunteer Hospice and Stand-Alone Palliative Care programs: $500
- Rural Palliative Care program (not affiliated with a member Hospice program): $400

Associate Member benefits do not include access to networking groups for Provider Members. Associate members are non-voting members. Dues: $500 annually.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS are individuals that have an interest in hospice and palliative care but do not provide direct hospice or palliative care services to families.
Member benefits include:

- inclusion on mailing list for educational opportunities, fundraising events, etc.
Individual Member benefits do not include access to networking groups for Provider Members. Individual members are non-voting members. Dues: $50 annually.
