The Washington State Hospice & Palliative Organization (WSHPCO) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization committed to taking a leadership role in improving end-of-life care through education and advocacy efforts.

While we are not an actual hospice or palliative care program, we are dedicated to promoting and maintaining quality, compassionate care for those facing life-threatening illnesses. We do this by providing information and referral services to the public and by providing professional services for Washington State’s hospice and palliative care programs.

WSHPCO is not a direct provider of hospice services. If you need immediate hospice or palliative care assistance, please call a hospice/palliative care provider in your area: FIND A PROVIDER

What’s New

Thanks to all those who made our time in Chelan so rewarding and meaningful! We’re coming to the end of another great conference and we couldn’t have done it without our sponsors and exhibitors, our amazing faculty and volunteers, our volunteer planning committee, our board of directors, all 178 of our attendees and our wonderful staff at Campbell’s Resort. Thank you.

Stu Farber Award Recipients: The 2018 Dr. Stuart Farber Excellence in Hospice & Palliative Care Award was presented in person to Dr. Mimi Pattison (left), Medical Director for Franciscan Hospice and Palliative Care, who was unable to accept her award last year. The 2019 Farber Award was presented posthumously to Mark Rake-Marona, Executive Director for Hospice and Palliative Care, CHI Franciscan Health, and WSHPCO Board Member. Mark’s wife, Jenny (right), accepted the award on behalf of Mark and their family.
